C-91-318-16: I-290 over Salt Creek Bridge Replacement, Phase III

Illinois Construction & Environmental Consulting, Inc. served as a subconsultant on this $15 million removal and replacement bridge structure project in the Village of Addison. 

The project included the removal of the existing 103 ft long bridge, which consisted of 3-spans supported on reinforced closed abutments on concrete piles and reinforced concrete wall piers on steel piles.

The replacement structures are each 3-span 298 ft long with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete deck supported by two abutments and two piers built on H-piles.  Work included; roadway reconstruction, pavement milling, temporary pavement and resurfacing, barrier wall removal and replacement, temporary retaining walls and temporary earth retention systems, guardrail removal and replacement, roadway lighting, fiber optic relocation, ITS, erosion control & protection, non-special waste excavation, earth excavation and embankment and pavement marking & signage.
