C-92-091-22: I-39/US 20 System Interchange, Winnebago County, Region Two/ District Two

Illinois Construction & Environmental Consulting, Inc. served as a Sub-Consultant on this $98.8 million project. The project consists of the reconstruction of the I-39/US 20 System Interchange, including I-39 from approximately 0.78 miles North of Blackhawk Road to approximately 0.3 miles East of Mulford Road. The project also consists of local road reconstruction of Linden Road at I-39/US 20 Ramp BD and Mulford Road. Structural work for this project includes the installation of 5 new bridges, removal of 5 existing bridges and MSE wall construction for the Ramp BD bridge over US 20. The project includes the removal of pavement, shoulders, pipe culverts, HMA pavement & HMA shoulders. Work also includes earthwork, rock excavation, pond and ditch grading, stockpile grading, traffic control, lighting, erosion & sediment control, landscaping, pavement marking, signing, proposed sign trusses, drainage removal, proposed drainage, subsurface drainage, and all other associated items necessary to complete the project.

This project is part of the $247.6 million Rebuild I-39 reconstruction and capacity expansion project which focuses on an approximate 4-mile stretch from Harrison Avenue to the north to the US 20 Interchange to the south which serves as a vital transportation connector for communities, industries, and travelers in the region.
